Buzz makes Sunday school fun for kids because they experience Bible truths in ways they enjoy and understand. Buzz is more than a written lesson-it's an interactive experience! Kids will learn in whatever way fits their style-whether that's reading, acting, drawing, listening, singing, playing a game, and more. And kids can't wait to get started because they make choices throughout the lesson.

Nursery: Infants & Toddlers - Approximate ages Birth-2 years

Children in this class are typically still in diapers and need 100% attention and care by our Garden of Eden Class Team. Sarah Rothell, Cindy Rothell, and Judy Porter lead this group with a rotation of assistants.  Children may be dropped off as the service begins, but are welcome to stay in the worship service - we love their "joyful noise" - until other children are dismissed.

Pre-School - Approximate ages 3 - 5 years

These children should be basically potty-trained and working on pre-reading or early reading skills. They are able to participate in class activities and age-appropriate Bible Study lessons. Lisa Boyer, Beverley Bouchard and Sarah Rothell lead this group with a rotation of assistants.  Children are dismissed from the Worship Service as a group with their leaders each week after the Announcements and Congregational Worship and before the Congregational Prayer time.

Multi-Age Elementary - Approximate ages Kindergarten - 5th grade

Children have begun or are ready to begin reading. They are accustomed to an instructional setting and participation. Mary Lynn Lindner, Elyse Coleman and David and Karen Everts will lead this group with a rotation of assistants.  Children are dismissed from the Worship Service as a group with their leaders each week after the Announcements and Congregational Worship and before the Congregational Prayer time.

Available to Help With Children's Ministry?

Each age group needs leaders with age-appropriate ministry passion and teaching skills who can serve on a rotating basis.  In addition, assistants with a variety of interests and skills serve with a leader each week for more personal attention with each child.  You can serve on a bi-weekly, monthly or as needed basis.  All Christ Covenant Children's Ministry workers need to make an informational application and interview, which includes a background check.  For forms, information or details, contact Sarah Rothell by Turn on JavaScript!.
