Christ Covenant Finances - 09.30.11

Christ Covenant Financial Snapshot – 9/30/11

Christ Covenant is committed to faithful stewardship of the financial support and gifts of our members.  Transparency, accountability and regular, understandable communication are expressions of this.  We intend to update this information each month.

Month of September (numbers rounded)

  • Income: $14,500
  • Expenses: $13,000

January 1 thru September 30 (numbers rounded)

  • Income: $103,500
  • Expenses: $96,850

These figures do not include money received from the EPC Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic.  It has been our goal to become self-supporting as soon as possible and to return this money to the Presbytery as soon as reasonable to further the ministry of church planting in our region.

“Next Step Fund”

Steering Committee has set up a “Next Step Fund” to receive designated gifts from the congregation and $100 weekly from General Fund tithes and offerings to be used against expenses for any next step with facilities for Christ Covenant as determined by the Steering Committee.  This could include purchase of land or building, renovation of leased space or the like.  It prepares working capital ahead of time for any next step. To make a donation, simply note “Next Step” in the memo of you check.

  • Next Step September: $550
  • Next Step YTD: $6,200

Observations:

Missions Giving

Christ Covenant continues to distribute 10% of our General Fund Offerings into missions and ministries outside of our congregation: Greater Fredericksburg Young Live, Paul Stefan Home, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UMW, Christian Brothers Transition Program - Jail Ministry, Haiti Outreach Ministries and others.
